Ghosts and Cover-ups

A few days after the conference, an accident occurred in the streets of Manhattan that appeared to be the result of the "Red Plague" virus. Besides a few eye witnesses, the only evidence left behind was the crashed car of an unknown individual and security footage showing the man attacking two civilians. The man ran away and the two humans were left for dead.

Dr. Kim Brown (PC) was put in charge of the humans' autopsies and covering up any signs of their deaths being related to the supernatural. Julio "Angel" Vargas (PC) was similarly responsible for handling the wrecked car. The two conferred with one another and agreed that the circumstance would best be hidden under the guise of the two dead bodies being passengers of the vehicle and the two of them, along with the driver, having been high on PCP. The plan set in motion, [Angel uses a contact to get a sample of PCP to Kim who then sends "dosed blood" of the humans to Angel to mark the car with. Angel then fixes the windshield to appear as though the bodies were thrown during the crash.]

Nathanael Ward (PC) is informed of the accident and likelihood that it relates to the recent virus outbreak by his sire, Claudia Lemay. She tells him to follow up with the Seneschal, Karina Arnesen, at her haven in Madison Square. When he arrives, he runs into Roland Jacobs (PC), a Kindred he has seen before, but is unfamiliar with. The three of them, along with Roland's ward, the child Kindred Clementine, head to Brooklyn, as Roland believes the unknown assailant to be a street pusher known as "Ghost."

Felix Cote (PC) has begun to settle into the city after decades of wandering east Canada and the U.S. He seeks a mentor to help him further develop his path of Spirit Manipulation and had heard that the chantries of New York held both the greatest Tremere libraries as well as some of the most gifted clan members in the nation. In the central chantry at Barnard College, he meets the Head Regent, Aisling Sturbridge, as well as the city's Tremere "liaison," Jocelyn [-], who invites him to a nearby club to meet some local Kindred.
