Wraiths, Werewolves, and Job Offers - Oh My!

Felix returns the next evening to the morgue with Aisling Sturbridge, the high regent of the Chantry of the Five Burroughs, in tow to witness the deranged spirit. He succeeds in reaching out to the spirit, but it has been so warped by the terror it witnessed before death that it cannot speak, only protrude a warning to avoid the sewers. Shortly after, the spirit dissipates with no lasting trail. Aisling, and Kim as witness, are concerned about what this means. The high regent tells Felix she will look into matters further and convene with him in the near future.

Across the city and into the mountains, Angel has been invited to a race by the Midnighters racing crew and decides to join into the race himself, just after making a bet on who would win with "Nicky the Chop." Barely a mile into the race, Vine Cerutti, a member of the Midnighters, crashes over a barrier and into a tree. Several cars stop to check on him, including Angel and the others Midnighters, his brother Dino and Nicholas Chang. When they reach him, he stammers about werewolves. Angel rushes to his car and gathers the others in with him and takes off back up the path, only to find three large werewolves attacking the packing lot where the race had met. Angel turns back and just barely misses a werewolf, knocking its arm hard against his bumper. After dropping the crew off and returning to his shop, he discovers a streak of blood on the dented bumper. Summoning willpower to not immediately fix his car, he gets a sample to Kim to compare with the strange new supply of blood.

Nate and Roland meet after Roland compliments the other Brujah on his tact and skill in dealing with Ghost and finds out that Nate is a bit of an accomplished fighter. He offers Nate the job of training his childe, Clementine, in the art of fencing, if he can handle himself in a duel. Roland bests Nate in the end with his ax against Nate's rapier, but Roland is still impressed and offers him the position, as well as work in surveying the city's drug trade territories.

The evening wraps up with Roland seeking staff for his soon-to-open club, The Rebel's Kiss, by asking a favor of his oddly gained friend, Karina the Seneschal. She obliges in finding Roland four Kindred with special skills.
