Heeding the Call

Roland's new club, The Rebel's Kiss, has its initial and grand opening - this evening, for Kindred and associates (ghouls and blood dolls) only. Angel, Felix, Kim, and Nate and his new tag-along Ike, have been invited by Roland after their serendipitous rendezvous a few days before.

Kim has little interest in the club scene, but with minor cases of the virus still cropping up now again, she felt it her duty to be present at such a large gathering of Kindred to keep an eye out for signs of the "Red Plague" and assist if any occurrence should show itself. The others feel it may be a fine enough case for them, as neonates, to get to know other members of the city better.

Over the course of the evening, Kim finds opportunity to study the nature of the city's Kindred; Felix is taken under wing by the Kindred socialite he met recently, Valentine; Angel quietly observes, but finds a few friends in the crowd; and Nate introduces Ike to a few select Kindred.

Later into the evening, Kim feels a strange presence nearby that reminds her of the Malkavian call she felt before, which Ike seems to sense as a general supernatural disturbance. Gathering Angel and Nate, the four follow a trail of scent and supernatural presence to the edge of Central Park.
